If the computer has too many programs trying to load at once then it may cause the processor to run slower and process the instructions a lot slower than usual. In a gaming console, if there are too many programs trying to work all at once then it can cause the frame rate to go a lot slower than normal.
Many newer processors have multiple cores; this means that they have many processors built into the same chip. This is so they can work quicker, using more memory without slowing the computer down. Cores work together rather than one individual core doing all the work at a slower rate. In this day and age some processors can have up to eight-cores allowing the computer to work and load information at a faster pace.
The main difference between many processors is the structure; an older processor has a structure that can process instructions less efficiently compared to a newer processor which has been structured to work at a faster efficiency due to the constant demand in the growing market. Dragon’s Lair

Dragon’s Lair is not really a video game in the traditional sense. It’s more of an interactive movie. The movie was played via Laserdisc, and at certain points, a plaer would have to move a joystick or press a button at the right time for the action to keep going. Dragons Lair was given a sequel later on, as well as a spin-off called Space Ace, which featured the same sort of gameplay. Dragon’s Lair is curretnly offered as a DVD, where the game can be played with a DVD remote.
Double Dragon – Technos Japan

Double Dragon was one of the best examples of the Beat ‘Em Up genre, where the player would face hoardes of enemies armed with nothing but their fists. Games like Renegade and Kung Fu Master existed before Double Dragon, but this game has become the basis for many other beat ’em up games, like the Simpsons arcade game, Final Fight, and Streets of Rage.
Street Fighter II – Capcom

The original Street Fighter was one of Capcom’s early mistakes. It suffered from an awkward control scheme that didn’t work as intended, and the game was incredibly difficult. SFII took the issues that the first game had and got rid of them.
Mortal Kombat – Midway

Mortal Kombat is mostly known for being incredibly violent. There have been violent games on the market before, like Exidy’s Chiller, but MK’s violence was much more realistic. The series is also well-known for its’ technique of palette swapping, where additional characters would be made by altering other ones. For instance, MK fighters Scorpion and Sub-Zero are identical in appearance, but they differ in move sets and, most obviously, colour.
Killer Instinct – Rare/Nintendo

It uses computer-generared graphics for most of the characters and backgrounds, and it had so much data that each arcade cabnet had to be outfitted with a Seagate hard drive to store everything. The Sega Dreamcast was built using pieces from Sega’s Naomi arcade board, which means that a lot of Sega’a games could be ported from the arcades to the Dreamcast relatively easy. Arcade games like Power Stone, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and Ikaruga are functionally identical on the Dreamcast as they are in the arcades.

Introduction;
In this topic I will be discussing 6 different types of hardware technologies that are used in different gaming platforms. I will be describing the types of features and purposes of the technology and also talking about what types of platforms the hardware can be used for.
Processor;
A processor controls what usage the computer is using. The processor also sends signals to control other parts of the computer. A central processing unit, also known as a CPU, is an electronic device that works on a list of things to do, almost like instructions. The processor reads this list one by one and processes each one correctly in order, enabling the computer to work and use memory correctly. If the computer has too many programs trying to load at once then it may cause the processor to run slower and process the instructions a lot slower than usual. In a gaming console, if there are too many programs trying to work all at once then it can cause the frame rate to go a lot slower than normal.
Many newer processors have multiple cores; this means that they have many processors built into the same chip. This is so they can work quicker, using more memory without slowing the computer down. Cores work together rather than one individual core doing all the work at a slower rate. In this day and age some processors can have up to eight-cores allowing the computer to work and load information at a faster pace.
The main difference between many processors is the structure; an older processor has a structure that can process instructions less efficiently compared to a newer processor which has been structured to work at a faster efficiency due to the constant demand in the growing market. The newer processors has been built to hold more instructions and work at a faster rate, therefore more and more computer companies are installing these processors rather than the older less efficient processor which holds less instructions and has less memory.Online Gaming Blogs

The fifth generation of gaming consoles began in 1993 and ended in 2002, during this period Nintendo released the Nintendo 64, Nintendo continued to inform other gaming console companies that if contained the 64-bit processing power. Nintendo also tried to outperform the Atari Jaguar by referencing its 64-bit power. The number of “bits” in console power is referred to the CPU. In the gaming industry, having a larger processor is a way of showing marketers how much power they have.
